Cohort 01 — Alumni Voices

What they built. What they said.

Working at Dealcroft gave me access to live deal execution across industries — from documentation and client meetings to drafting business proposals and growth strategies for real companies. This was practitioner-level work from day one.
CA Kundan Prajapat
↳ Placed at Amoolya Capital
The mentorship I received was extraordinary. I drafted full valuation reports for multiple Pre-IPO companies and pitched them directly to HNIs in live deal scenarios — something most analysts don't get to do in their first two years.
Rishabh Singhal
↳ Placed at MeritsPE Capital
I applied AI-driven frameworks to build execution strategies for portfolio teams, directly improving operational efficiency and overall venture valuations. The kind of work I did here would take years to find elsewhere.

The Program

Finance as it's actually practiced.

Dealcroft is not a course. There are no pre-recorded videos, no lectures, no PDFs explaining concepts you already know.

The Private Markets Deal Execution Program is a structured 2-month placement where you work alongside an active deal team — sourcing pre-IPO opportunities, building investor decks, screening SME companies, and learning how private capital actually moves in India.

You'll be doing the same work as a junior analyst at a boutique PE/IB house — with real feedback, real stakes, and a real network behind you. Cohort 01 proved the model: 30 selected, 30 placed.

Cohort 02 is harder to get into. Nine seats. A more competitive selection process. And a higher baseline expectation for the work you'll do.

01

Pre-IPO Deal Sourcing

Identify and evaluate unlisted equity opportunities. Build screening frameworks used on live deal flow.

02

Investor Deck Building

Construct pitch materials for real companies. Learn what HNIs and family offices actually respond to.

03

SME Capital Markets

Understand the SME IPO pipeline — from eligibility to merchant banker coordination to listing readiness.

04

Deal Structuring Basics

Term sheets, valuation approaches, and capital table mechanics — on real transactions, not hypotheticals.

Curriculum

Two months. No filler.

Month 01

Foundations & Live Deal Entry

  • Capital market structure in India
  • Unlisted equity: sourcing, risks, mechanics

Month 02

  • Assigned real pre-IPO company for full analysis
  • Build a pitch deck and investor-facing materials
  • Investor outreach strategy and mechanics
  • Present final deal thesis to the team
  • Certificate of completion issued
  • Introduction to Dealcroft alumni network
Who Should Apply

Built for a specific kind of person.

Finance & MBA Students

Final year or recently graduated, wanting actual deal experience to back up your degree and differentiate your profile.

Aspiring Analysts

Targeting IB, PE, or VC roles and need a structured bridge between academics and your first real-world placement.

Working Professionals

In banking, accounting, or ops who want to pivot toward the deal side of the table with demonstrable experience.

Not For Everyone

If you want a certificate without doing the work, this is the wrong program. Cohort 02 is harder. The bar is higher. Real deliverables, real feedback.

Who's Behind This

Mentored by practitioners, not professors.

Your Cohort Lead
Finance Practitioner · Private Markets

The cohort is led by a practitioner actively working across pre-IPO deal flow, SME capital advisory, and angel syndication in Indian private markets.

You won't learn from someone who teaches finance. You'll learn from someone actively executing it — daily, on live transactions. Cohort 01's 100% placement rate speaks to how this translates in the real world.

Live Deal Access

Exposure to actual transactions in progress — not simulated case studies from textbooks.

Private Markets Focus

Pre-IPO equities, SME IPO pipeline, and angel syndication — the India private capital ecosystem.

Proven Track Record

Every Cohort 01 participant secured a direct placement in a PE or IB firm. The network is real and active.

FAQ

The questions everyone's actually asking.

Is this a course or a real internship?

+
It's a structured internship. You have real deliverables, real deadlines, and direct feedback from a practitioner. There's no recorded lecture content — you learn by doing assigned work on live material. Cohort 01's placement results are proof of what this produces.

Is Cohort 02 harder to get into than Cohort 01?

+
Yes. Cohort 01 had 238 applicants for 30 seats. Cohort 02 has 9 seats, and the selection process includes both an aptitude test and an interview. The bar for who gets in is higher, and so is the expectation of what you'll produce inside the program.

Do I need prior finance experience?

+
You should have working knowledge of financial statements and basic valuation concepts. We're not starting from scratch. If you're in your final year of a finance degree, or have a year of relevant work experience, you're ready. The aptitude test will verify this quickly.

How many hours per week does this require?

+
Realistically 8–12 hours a week. Some weeks more when deliverables are due. This is designed to be manageable alongside college or a day job — but it's not passive. If you treat it as passive, you will not complete it.

Will I get a placement or letter of recommendation?

+
Every Cohort 01 participant received a direct placement in a PE or IB firm. We don't guarantee placements — we create the conditions for them through real work and a real network. Top performers receive letters of recommendation from the cohort lead. All completers receive the Dealcroft certificate.

Is this remote? Can I be based anywhere in India?

+
Entirely remote. You can be based anywhere in India. All coordination happens over Telegram/WhatsApp and email. No physical attendance required at any point.

What if I'm not selected?

+
You'll be notified within 72 hours of your application. No payment is collected from unselected candidates. Strong applicants who don't make Cohort 02 are given priority consideration for future cohorts.
